I have submitted the listing periodically in 4 month intervals since late 2009. Please could you confirm if the listing is okay to be added.

You must have missed the pinned Note: These threads are NOT for Submission Status! thread at the top of this forum.

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

You are risking being declared a spammer .

With my suggested site and other sites not being added for ages I have requested to become an Editor as I believe I would be an active participant.
The last update to many of the categories haven't been for years!!

How long am I likely to wait regarding becoming an editor?

There is no spefic time period.
Normaly it is very fast (days to weeks) but due to a large list of open applications after the upgarde to new software it may take longer.

Regarding the dates of the last update in a category, many are not accurate. AOL is aware of this bug.
