I submitted my website <url removed> at http://dmoz.org/Business/Arts_and_E...vents/North_America/United_States/California/
category about 5 month ago.
Since than last update time for this category has changed several times and the last one is: 14:35 PT, Tuesday, May 8, 2007.

Does it mean that my web site was rejected?

No, just that some editor or robot did some work in there.

Can you make the whole process more transparent?
For example to publish the list of websites in the queue for category?

No. It's been discussed ad ad nauseam here and it's been discussed internally over the years. We prefer to spend our scarce programming resources in improving the directory for users and for editors.
