Hi.

Background:
I just realized today that I messed up with my email address during my editor application submission. The custom email address I indicated was correct, but it was not setup correctly from my end (my bad), and thus I did not get any emails sent to me by DMOZ.
I investigated this after I did not get emails from resource-zone either, which made suspecious. By then I had already read here to submit again if I did not get a confirmation email, which I realized I had not from dmoz, and so I submitted again today. Now knowing that it was an email setup mistake by me, and not neccessarily any dmoz system issue, I am thinking that it was a bad thing to have two submisssions with two different usernames and the same email address.

What I need:
I need any emails sent to the user vt1 re-sent please. Including confirmation email and any instructions, and aproval or rejection emails.
Currently, trying to loggin to dmoz simply indicates "User needs an email address verification before the user can login".
If I am suppose to get an email to verify the email address, I need the verification email from dmoz re-sent please.
If none of that is available or possible, then an update on the application status would be appreciated.

I assume one of the users, vt1 or vt2, will be removed; probably the 2nd (vt2).

"User needs an email address verification before the user can login".
That message isn't useful for us to track down what happened - Can you post which category you applied for, and the date(s) when you applied?

Applications whose email hasn't been verified are invisible to us puny humans. There have never been any visible applications under the names vt1 or vt2 or from the email domain that you used to register here.

I suggest you start over using an entirely new email address. The servers won't eat the original invisible to humans unverified ones for about 4 weeks and we don't want to confuse them do we?

Until your application has been evaluated and an editor account created for you, you won't be able to log in.

Thank you.

Okay.
Summarizing to make sure my understanding is clear.
-------
1. The submissions for the users of vt1 or vt2 went nowhere since I never confirmed the email address due to never getting the email validation. Correct?

2. There is no way to have the dmoz systems resend an email address confirmation/validation email.

3. I should go ahead and resubmit with a new username and new email address alias.
-------

Just looking for confirmation that my understand of all the three items above (1., 2., 3.) are correct.

Suggestion:
I suggest that the DMOZ site adds a link, like resource-zone has, for re-sending the email address validation email. I understand how such a feature might not have been implemented for some spam prevention reason. In case it was overlooked, it's being suggested.

Correct on all three counts. I thought I'd said that?

As to the resend validation email suggestion, how would meta editors, who are unable to see unverified applications, do that? Your situation is the first instance that I've heard of and I'd rather that our sparse developer effort was spent more productively.
