Need Help Finding a Category

I would like to suggest a Niche Shopping Directory but there is no "Directories" category in my specific niche. Should I suggest my site to the "Varied Merchandise" category under the specific alphabet letter for my site? Is that an appropritate place since the site is a directory of stores and not a store itself?

If there is no subcat Directories in the niche than just suggest the site to the niche category.

But notice that directories must add a lot of value to get listed. With only a few (even a few hunderd listings) they are most problably not listable. We much more prefer to list the websites themself than a directory with these websites. It is much more usefull for our visitors.

The top level of the niche does not have a "suggest url" so I need to go down at least one level. The "Varied Merchandise" category has only 1 site listed on the homepage (which looks like it was a mistake) so that's probably not appropriate either.

As for the quantity of sites in my directory, there are a similar number to those in the DMOZ niche. Some are the same, many are different.
