Need help tracking down password for username

I've applied to be an editor a few times and have been rejected due to choosing categories that are too big. When the form letter rejections come in they aren't specific about what category you were denied for nor do they give any detailed information, so I cannot say for certain that I have been rejected every time.

I applied again this morning and was surprised when it said my username was already in use.

Of course I realize that someone else COULD have my username, but when I applied previously (a few weeks ago) nobody did, and my username is my name which is not a common name. (I believe there are 3 of us with this name, and the other two are kids. It is HIGHLY unlikely that anyone else is using that name - I always am able to get it and use it on Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc - all sites with a much higher user count than DMOZ)

Of course, if someone else IS using that name, so be it. I can apply with another.

But, if I was already accepted to be an editor I don't want to apply again under another name and violate your terms.

I hit the button that says it will send me an email to reset my password, but nothing showed up. I'm not sure what to think. Unlike other reset options on other sites, it doesn't give me a redacted version of my email, such as tu*********@gmail.com or any hint of where it was sent, so I don't know if there is something wrong.

When I last applied, I think it was to this page:
http://www.dmoz.org/Sports/Soccer/CONCACAF/United_States/Clubs/H/ (could have been a different page)
username: tuckercarney
application date: approximately April 2, but I am not certain

Basically, I just want to know if the user "tuckercarney" is me, and if so how I can track down my credentials.

If someone can give me an idea of the email address listed, or some other identifying factor I can determine if it is me or someone else. Odd request, I know. Your help is appreciated.

I could only find 2 applications from you. Both rejected for to big category.
Sports/Soccer/CONCACAF/United_States/Youth/Clubs_and_Teams/California
dates 14 march 2014 and 2 april 2014
and a very old one from 2006 for a completely different category

there is no editor with name tuckercarney
I also could not find an open application for that name
It is possible that there is an application for that name which was not confirmed, editors can not see such applications.

With a different search I managed to find the application
it is yours (name and email match yours)
category Sports/Soccer/CONCACAF/United_States/Clubs/H
date 18 april 2014
it is waiting email verification
you will have to reply to the email that has been send on the 18th
we can not resend that email
if you do not have that email you will either have to wait (unverified applications are deleted after some time , I believe 2 weeks but am not sure)
or you will have to use a different name

I don't see an email verification for that application. I searched my email for everything with DMOZ in it, and while I see the others I do not see one from April 18.

No way to have it resent?

PVGOOL - thanks for your help.

After your last email it dawned on me that maybe that last verification email from April 18 was going to spam. Not sure why no previous DMOZ emails went there, but sure enough it was there. All verified. Also in there was the CHANGE PASSWORD email from today, and after clicking on that and changing my password, I now get this message:
The application for this editor name has not yet been processed.

So all appears to be on track again. Thanks for your help.

(hopefully I will finally be approved for a category)

Best,

Tucker
