Greetings,
About 5 or 6 months ago, I advised a friend to submit his site to dmoz.org. He told me that he submitted it right after I made the suggestion.

The site is http://www.toirestores.com/

He is not very computer savvy at all. I have a feeling that he may have submitted incorrectly or somehow screwed up his submission.

I am now helping him in this matter and would like to find out if his site was actually submitted. He told me that he submitted under "Historic Restoration" and that's all the info he gave me.

I've tried to find the site at dmoz.org but with no success.

Can someone please advise me of the status of his submission?

If he messed it up, we would like to re-submit the site.

Thank you for your help.

Is your friend a big international traveller, or does he do most of his work near his hometown?

If the latter, then please ask him to submit to the Business&Economy category of the town/city/hamlet/unincorporated county/whatever where his primary place of business is.

He may be considered for two listings.

And the regional categories often get reviewed more quickly than the business ones.

thanks hutcheson,

We'll give that a shot. I'll check it out and help him submit. That way we can make sure his site gets submitted correctly. Like I said before, he isn't too familiar with computers and the internet and could use all the help he can get.

Thanks again.

Hi again folks

I know you guys are busy and overloaded so I don't want to be a nuisance. I just want to ask if anybody knows of any approximate estimate of the time in takes to get reviewed in the local listing categories. I listed http://www.toirestores.com/ also in the Local Business & Economy category as suggested but I think it hasn't been reviewed.

If you have any info, I'd appreciate some input.

Thank you.

You may ask for status 6 months after your last status report (making in May 27), or one month after the submission to Regional (which would be no earlier than December 29).

May I suggest you keep an eye on the Business and Economy subcategory of the locality where his business is actually located?
