New Account or Old Account ?

Here's the background, about 5-10 years ago I had an editor account but when I got my first job I found it impossible to login enough to maintain the account so I let it lapse.

I now work for myself from home and can put aside an hour or so to help out on DMOZ.

My problem is I don't have my password or email address for the old account. Also the area I now want to help out in has changed so I want to apply for a different category.

So I signed up for a new account but being an honest chap I ticked the box marked "have you been an editor before". Must say thats seems a bit of a silly form - because if you tick that box and fill in the rest of the form you go direct to recover the old account on submit. Does this mean spending an hour filling in the form, finding those 3 site details is a waste of time ? Something to think about there I think

So I clicked BACK at that point and unclicked the box marked "have you been an editor before" Made no difference to the result as the result of my aplication was a NOREPLY email telling me to restore my old account.

So this is a rather long winded post to ask what I can and should do now please ? :D

Thanks.

Dave.

That you've forgotten some of your login details or you no longer have access to your original email account are merely stumbling blocks, not show stoppers.

Please contact me via http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/send.cgi?toeditor=jimnoble with as much corroborative information as you can such as:-

Approximate date joined
Editor name (but not password)
Real Name
Original email address
Joining category
Additional categories gained
Roughly how many edits done
Approximate date of leaving and the circumstances

Convince me that you are who you say you are and I can reset your email address of record to one that works today. This will make it possible for you to request a password reminder and complete a reinstatement request form.

NB, Despite server error reports, messages get through; no need to send 9 copies.

Ok, done it, sorry should have noticed the last line in your reply but I think you should only get two :)
