New Category Request

Dear Editor,

I would like to request the addition of a new category to DMOZ.

The site in question makes custom automotive furniture from recycled car parts, such as:

• Engine block tables with car stereo and speakers
• V12 Jag Engine block coffee tables with LED lights
• Drag car header couches
• Office desks made from transmissions
• Air-conditioning covering wall panels made from the front end of a car
• Bar tables made from transmissions and drive shaft assemblies
• Sump tables
• V12 Crank Shaft Assembly Tables

There is a section of the site related to custom components and fabrications to street machines and hot rods. This is due to the engineering workshop nature of the business. The main vein of the site is automotive furniture.

I have read through the existing categories and none of the categories accurately describe the main intent of the site in question.

A new category of “Automotive Furniture” I believe would be appropriate. In searching online these are the keywords that best describe the site and related competitors.

Perhaps you could discuss it with your fellow Editors and see what you think.

We only create a new category after internal discussion and when we have five or more websites to populate it. Suggest your website to the parent category of your proposed new one together with a bunch of competitors. For each one, add a note to the description [like this] stating your case.

You could additionally suggest your website to the Regional locality where it is based.
