New Category Suggestion

I was just looking for a category to submit a site to, and couldn't find an appropriate one.

The category that I think should be added is under http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Promotion/

It should be titled "local search"

Or a "local search" category could be added under another internet related category. The reason this is important is local search is a quickly increasing trend in marketing, and is a completely different ball game than other sorts of website promotion.

Also, "local search" is an important category because in many cases businesses are now able to advertise on the internet WITHOUT having a website. For instance both google and yahoo are now offering local search options for brick and mortar businesses, and the goal is not to drive traffic to their websites, the goal is to drive people to their actual brick and mortar store. This is very different from traditional SEO.

Please suggest your site to the closest relevant category. If enough sites are suggested (or found) to warrant a category being created, than an editor will create one. Categories are only created when there are enough sites listed to create one - typically five or more sites.
