What type of error are you getting? Did you try a different browser? I think passwords are case sensitive so make sure you have that right. Not much that we can do other than forward the problem on to the tech person, but let us know if you tried all of this and still can't get it.

Thanks Donald,

Yes..UI tried IE 6, Netscape 7.1. I even cut and pasted Login PW a few times to make sure. I am getting the following error:
----------------------------------
Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

Additionally, a 401 Authorization Required error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
-------------------------

Maybe it takes some time to get setup?? I dunno. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've posted a message to the tech person. Hopefully she will be able to action it a.s.a.p.

Just a guess from experience: The software does not handle passwords with more than 8 characters well, if you chose a longer one try using the first eight characters only, that should normally work.

That was it! Thanks a bunch.....maybe someone should edit the acceptance e-mail to trim the PW there too.....I know it's my fault....it probably said between 5 and 8 :)

THanks for the help!

Well, I've bumped into the same problem as I tried to go in and have a peek around.

I trimmed to 8 characters, but no luck. My password is ten characters, the last two being numbers (everything else is letters).

Any other advice? My editor name is the same as my name here...

mepica,
I reset the password. Let me know if that does anything.

donaldb,

Thanks, but alas, no luck. Perhaps you could come up with a shorter password and send it to me via a private msg?

(assuming that is the 'sketchy issue')

All I can do is pass this on to our tech person, which I actually did after my last post here. We'll have to wait for her to look at it. She is in California and probably won't see the message until after you're in bed tomorrow :)

Okay,

Thanks for the help donaldb! I'll get reading in the meantime, just curious to see how it looks from the other side...

Not sure what happened, if anything changed, but I've been able to get in now. I will post again if it is irregular, but for now I'm going to play around!

Thanks for the help - mepica

All the broken passwords were fixed. Looks like there was a whole bunch of them all at the same time that were wonky :p
