new title and description

I suggested a new title and description for my site http://www.memorialserviceplanning.com on March 10/05
OPD category: http://www.dmoz.org/Society/Death/Death_Care/Consumer_Information/
These changes had not yet been made and I wondered when that might happen.

There is no update request currently awaiting review for this site in that category. I see an editor updated the description on March 9, 2005.

If you want to update further, please resubmit the update request.

Thank you for your reply. At the time that I updated my description, I also updated my title. Is there a chance that the title change was rejected for some reason?

You don't "update" either a description or a title. It doesn't work that way.

You make a "suggestion." An editor re-reviews the site, keeping in mind whatever of your suggestion appears worth, um, keeping in mind. And then makes such changes as seem consistent with the editors' guidelines, the needs of surfers, and the general style of that category. The editor is solely responsible, and responsible solely to the community, for what appears. (We want listings accurate; we want them concise; and we want them useful for directory surfers. Anything beyond that is of the evil one.)

If any changes have been made since your update request, then it's likely the editor will have made all of your changes that seemed worth making.

I suppose it's not too far out of line to make one more suggestion -- cut it down to the absolute minimum change DEMANDED by accuracy and our guidelines. And then drop it. Aggressive submitting is, um, flat guaranteed to be counterproductive if there's anything in our power to make it so.
