Hi,

I wanted to see about becoming an editor of http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Health/Nutrition/Sports/Supplements/. I noticed that there was no "become an Editor" link on the category and after reading it seems because this category is filled with spammy editor requests?

I'd like to still try my hand at it (and yes, I work at a sports nutrition company, worked at two others in the past 10 years), as I was an editor in Zeal and currently in JoeAnt. Now if I can't still at least submit an application, is there anywhere I send the 9 errors I found in the category? These include things like Adsense sites, sites no longer available, sites that now sell only products that are not part of the category...and general recommendations for better categorization. For example, there are many distributors and manufacturers mixed in with retailers...would be better to have their own categories.

No matter what the outcome, please let me know.

Thank you for your time.

Editor applications for that category are disabled because it's unsuitable for a new editor. It needs an experienced editor who's used to distinguishing legitimate sites from the unlistable ones.

By all means apply for a less spammy/competitive category.

Our QC thread is a good place to report problems with current listings.
