No ideal catagory

Hi,

I recently submitted a site to DMOZ, looking at threads on this forum it is suggested that the fastest way to get listed is to select the correct catagory. Problem I have is that I cant find the perfect catagory, how is it possible to suggest another catagory without being an editor ?

Thanks, after posting this thread I did find the thread on new catagory that you listed so sorry for not investigating beforehand. Im still a bit unsure however on how to suggest new catagory as there is no feedback mechanism that I can see. The other issue for me is that my site is really one of a kind and I cant suggest other sites...

Suggest it to the nearest most appropriate category (usually the parent category of where you think a new category needs to be created). If there are enough sites to warrant it (and the category really does belong there), the editor reviewing the site will create it.

Thanks for advise, I have since found a more suitable catagory but have allready submitted to another catagory, can anyone advise on whether I should resubmit to the more appropriate catagory or leave as is ?

In general, if the categories are significantly different, you may suggest the site to the new category, if you add a note in brackets [] after the description stating that it replaces an existing suggestion.
