No Regional listing to submit my site to

I have a disc jockey website that needs to be listed regionally in both North Dakota and Minnesota (I'm right on the state line), however no such regional categories exist. I'm sure this will be rectified eventually, just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention (the old squeky wheel gets the grease kind of thing).

I tried applying to be an editor for my tri-state area, but not surprisingly I was turned down. I'll try again, because I suspect I was turned down either due to my affiliations or the fact that I listed examples of sites that would go in the North Dakota and Minnesota regions.

You may be right onthe state line, but you are in one state or the other. Regional listings are almost always on the basis of where one is, not where one markets or sells.

I followed the regional navigation (Top: Regional: North America: United States: Minnesota: Arts and Entertainment: Music) and discovered there is no DJ subcategory like there is for Illinois (Regional: North America: United States: Illinois: Metro Areas: Chicago: Arts and Entertainment: Music: DJs). Should I submit my site to the general category, or do I ask for someone to create a DJ category?

We generally only create categories when there are enough listings to go in them. So, yes, you should submit to the more general category.

If/when there are enough DJ sites to justify it, a new category will be created.
