Not sure my application went through

Hello,

I just sumitted my application for an editor for the category:

http://dmoz.org/World/Korean/사회/여성/

Instead of any confirmation page, I was redirected to the application page again:

http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/apply.cgi

Also, I have not received a confirmation email either. (It's been more than 20 minutes.)

I am wondering if my application went through successfully or if I missed something?

Would anybody please let me know about this?
My user ID is "parkley."

Also, I have submitted at least three times for the last thirty minutes for this concern. I am sincerely sorry for multi-submission.

Thanks so much for your time and help.

There is no application waiting for that category. I'm not really sure why you are having the problem applying. You might want to try using a different browser.

Thanks but still can't...

Thanks for your reply, donaldb.

I have tried it on two other computers, one with Windows XP Home and the other with Windows 2000 Professional. Both windows are English and their browsers support Korean. (The machine I tried yesterday was Korean Windows XP Professional.) But I had the same result on both the computers.

I was taken back to http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/apply.cgi after I clicked on the submit button and have not received any emails. I tried to submit it a few times.

Could you maybe have your technicians look into the submit form of Korean categories? Or is there any other way that I can submit the application - i.e. under a generic category in English - and separately, let you know the category that I'm interested in?

Thanks again for your help.

I just tested it using Windows 98 and got the same problem. I have reported this internally as a possible bug.

Thanks...

Thanks so much for checking into this. Will I receive a notice when it's fixed through this forum or through email?

Wondering how it's going....

Hello,

I was wondering if the submission error has been fixed. If not, will it be possible that I submit my editor application under another category and let you know the category that I'd like to be an editor for?

Thanks.

Thanks for getting back to this issue.

I tried it again a few times but I still have the same problem.

I was brought back to the submission page (http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/apply.cgi) and haven't got any confirmation emails.

Here is the URL where I tried to submit the form.

http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/apply.cgi?submit=계속하기&where=World/Korean/사회/여성&id=&lk=&loc=

The page is in Korean and maybe it's because of the language?

Will it be okay that I submit the application under the equivalent category in English? I just found out that there is this category:

Top: Regional: Asia: South Korea: Society and Culture: Women

which is very similar to the category that I submitted the application for except the language.

I' like to make sure about it because I believe that I shouldn't submit applications under different categories at the same time. Still this should be fixed and maybe I should wait.

Would you let me know?

Thanks so much.

Problem Submitting Application

Hello Parkley,

I am one of the editors with World/Korean. My sincere apologies in the difficulty
you faced with your application. I just found out about your problem today. As far as I know, the application problem for World/Korean was solved -- so please give it another go. If it still fails, you can of course apply for
Regional: Asia: South Korea: Society and Culture: Women -- there is certainly no trouble with applications in English. But the people who deal with network issues have just e-mailed me that the problem should have been fixed.

We could certainly use your help and input for
World/Korean/%ec%82%ac%ed%9a%8c/%ec%97%ac%ec%84%b1/

:star: Please try it again.
