Hello,

I am a new employee with a medical supply company and some of my job responsibilites include promoting our website. I know about DMOZ policies, and could not find our company here, so I am not sure if the person who had my position before submitted. Is there anyone who can help? Our url is www.cwimedical.com.

No, this is not a question that CAN be answered. (But if it could, it would fall into the class of questions that are not allowed in this forum.)

Not really, no. Just do the best you can and our editors will correct any problems when they process it. That's a service we perform for nearly every listing suggestion.

Also, thank you for providing a volunteer service such as this. After reading many of the posts on this forum today, I can tell it must be frustrating doing this for free and getting angry responses from people who think you owe them something. I appreciate what you guys do, and keep up the good work.

Without looking at your site -- if you ship outside your state (New York, is it?), you may also qualify for a listing somewhere in [cat]Shopping/Health[/cat] -- keeping in mind the Shopping FAQ, particularly part 3 -- or your information section might be suggested to somewhere in [cat]Health[/cat] -- but not both.

This is an exception to the general rule that you should only suggest a site, once to the best category, in that Regional and "topical" (i.e., other than Regional) suggestions are considered separately. Only suggest your site once in "topical" and once in "Regional", unless your site meets one of the other exceptions (i.e., other languages, elegibility for the Kids&Teens section, etc. -- actually, I don't think there is an etc., but.....)

Oh, yes, you might add in [] a note that you're new to the company, and don't know if it has been suggested before, in case the previous holder of your position has spammed the site to multiple categories. (It couldn't hurt.)
