ok, I'm sure i submitted my site in the good category. How long should I wait before re-submitting the site? (Just in case it is not received or ignored)

As pvgool said, please see the forum FAQ, linked from the top of every page here -- it addresses that specific question. Thanks :)

(Also remember that a site suggestion does not disappear until it has been reviewed. Suggesting a site again does not make it more visible to the editors, it just overwrites the old site suggestion.)

My site still hasn't been listed. How could I know if it has been rejected?
You can't.
Only thing you can do is read our guidelines'. If yuor site doesn't meet our guidelines it will be rejected. If there are no guidline problems and your site has own unique content it will (someday) be listed. When that will be nonone knows.

I understand. Is the category busy? At least you should tell me how long it should take to get listed. Does the category have an editor?

The rest of the questions have been answered repeatedly (i.e the answers are in the FAQ) but to address this one specifically:
We cannot tell you how long it 'should' take because no one knows the answer. It depends on when a volunteer editor has time and interest in looking at the site suggestions for the category it was suggested too. That could be anywhere from a few days to a few years. One thing that we can say for sure is that nothing in this forum will change the time a review takes, and additional suggestions of the URL will not speed the review process up. (in fact it often will slow it down, should an editor choose to review by last suggestion date)
