Offices in 12 US Cities

Hi,

We provide music entertainment for corporate and private events. We have offices and locally-based bands in 12 different cities in the US.

Can/should I submit my url in all 12 cities under the appropriate category?

No, you shouldn't.

Submit instead to the single best category that encompasses the geography of the offices.

If, for example all 12 offices were located in one city, you would submit to that city. If they were all in the same county, you would submit to the county. If all in the same multi-county metro area, then to the metro area. If all were in the same state, then submit to the state, there are also large regions or even the entire country.

Spend some time browsing the categories and you will get a feel for the right place. Bur regardless, only submit one, once.

However, our offices are located throughout the US. Headquarters are in Chicago; but we have full offices and locally-based versions of our bands in NY, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orlando, Miami, Dallas, New Orleans, Boston, DC, Atlanta and Toronto. It seems that I would need to submit a request pretty high in a category so that I can cover the cities where we're located. Is this OK?

Yes, that's right. Based on that information, it would be listed at the North America level.

For the most part, when a business has locations across North America like that, it would just be listed in the appropriate http://dmoz.org/Business category and not in Regional at all.
