All points bulletin! We now have a regular Joe as an editor. What on earth is the ODP coming to? Congrats miromulus! :)

Sorry to interrupt you lot congratulating yourselves (probably deservedly) but could one of you tell me exactly what is involved in being an editor. Is it just a question of going thru a list of sites and saying yes or no.

I'm thinking of applying.

No, it's more than that. For a start there's no 'list', you've got the whole www to categorize. Actually there are a few more chores besides finding, adding, deleting and editing sites (and categories) as well but I won't let you in that secret. :) And the factors that mean a site gets deleted or listed really can be quite complicated. I don't know if that's turned you on or off. Advise look around here a bit more then if you're still interested apply for a category you're knowledgable in with just a few sites (10-50?) and you'll find out a lot more about how it ticks...

Well, you weren't around much for a while, so it did not seem obvious why it was there. And BTW, why would I be upset that you find a different supplier. You are a thief, not a buyer. :D

CC, I noticed your application was in Chinese, so it can sometimes take longer for non English applications to be reviewed. Not as many Chinese speaking Metas to review applications. It took longer for miromulus. I think his was in Romanian. Just hang in there. It will happen when it happens. And Good Luck.
