Oh where, oh where has my editor gone?

I submitted a URL 6 months ago and it doesn't look like there have been any updates to the category in that time period. I tried to volunteer to edit the category but got rejected... I guess if an editor is too busy than the category languishes - does anyone monitor frequency of editor activity?

Editors are required to perform an edit every 4 months or so (even if that edit may not do anything visible to you). On the other hand, there is no limit to the number of editors named in a category, and there are 200+ editall+ editors (such as myself) who can edit anywhere in the directory.

Any suggestion on what I can do? Should I try to be an editor again? Are there any other options?
thanks,

Unless the feedback you receive suggested otherwise, you are welcome to apply again -- just take the feedback very seriously. Many active editors were turned down on their first few attempts.

Not that I'm anyone's editor but

This one is on holiday in Rhodes for 2 weeks :) where the internet cafe prices are expensive (4 to 7 euros for an hour) and thus :( my editing is going to be curtailed.

regards

It's been 2 years now...

I don't know what else to do... I really think my site should be linked in DMOZ but there have been no edits to my category for years (that I can tell). My website hosts the largest online repository of old yearbooks on the Internet (e-yearbook) and yet I can't get listed in:

http://www.dmoz.org/Reference/Education/Products_and_Services/Yearbooks/

We have thousands of yearbooks, millions of people, the biggest resource, etc, etc, etc but I can't get a mention.

Look at the bottom of the category page.
What do you see?

Editors work where, when and as much as they wish within the scope of their permissions. They're volunteers so there is no compulsion and there are no schedules. At least 200 editors can work in that category if they so choose. It would seem that the huge majority of them prefer not to do so.

Please, stop agonising over something that you can't and we can't control. Move on and find further ways of promoting your website. If an ODP listing is going to happen, it'll happen when it happens :).
