old site is listed but cant get new site listed

Hi,
I have had a new site built <url removed> ] have submited to dmoz a few times and never got listed and never had any email or anything telling me why.
But I think it could be because my old site is still online. (<url removed>)
is there any way of geting my new site listed when the old is still there?
Can I have the old listing updated to have the details of the new site or can I have the old site removed then re-submit the new one???

When the form is available again (see our outage announcement for details), you can submit an Update Listing request for the URL that is currently listed.
