One Owner Car --Will we be listed?

One Owner Car.com
To category editor: Auto classifieds
We have a new auto classifieds web site different from all the rest in many ways. Please check it and help us get this site going. If the general public is selling a one owner car, they deserve a wide exposure, not buried among wrecks thefts etc. as in many sites. Also, the general public will be less likely to buy a junk when they buy a one owner car. Good for the sellers. Good for the buyers.
We also are allowing listing your car for sale on the honor system. List your car, pay us when it sells.
Everyone is telling us they really like the concept.
Thanks for listening,
Bob

If I am understanding correctly, you are asking us to list this site. We have a procedure which you should follow to get your site considered for inclusion in the directory. If this is the case, I suggest you read this: http://dmoz.org/add.html and follow the instructions.

One thing I will say is that we list sites that *have* content. Not *will have* content. In a cursory search I wasn't able to find a vehicle listed. I searched for Toyota Camrys and Ford F150s and found no listings. I believe that the site would not be listed in its present state. You should wait until you have some content before submitting it.

I realize that it can be hard to build content in a site like this that requires public participation to build the content. (Message boards are the same way.)

You can get advice about other ways to market your site to search engines without an ODP listing at various SEO forums.

We do have about 75 cars now and they are being added every day. We also have 100's of registered buyers looking for cars, who have actually signed on, not to mention the ones who are looking but do not sign up for automatic notification. Nearly every state has a registered buyer and about one third of the states have a car or cars for sale.
You are right about it does take time to get the word out.
Thanks,
Bob

I did read and submit in July. I didn't see where I could check the status. I saw others asking here about their sites.
Thanks,
Bob

Yes, you can have the status of your submission checked here. But in order to do so, we need a clickable link to the category that you submitted to.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood your original post. The reviewing editor will doubtless spend a lot more time checking your site than I did.
