Online gambling policy change?

Hi,

I was just wondering if there had been a change in policy for online gambling / poker related sites? I've checked through all the guidelines but couldn’t find anything.

Reason for asking is that I've noticed a number of the big name sites disappear from the directory. Just to confirm a few things, the site's I was looking at have not radically altered, do not seem to have been moved to different categories and still continue to function.

Is there any other reason why these sites may have been removed?

Hi Andy,

Without specific examples it is difficult to comment.

The charter for the online poker sites cat here:
http://editors.dmoz.org/Games/Gambling/Poker/Online_Cardrooms/desc.html

does list a number of reasons why sites might not be listable. The most common being that the sites do not run their own poker network - and instead just connect to one hosted by a provider. e.g. http://www.ongamenetwork.com/

In those cases - only the provider is listable.

If this doesn't help, please feel free to PM me the details of the sites you are concerned about (and the categories they have disappeared from) and I'll post the information in the relevant internal forum discussion thread,

Kind Regards,

Andy
