Thanks for letting us know. I have updated it.

However, as Motsa says, we prefer people to use the Update URL feature for this kind of thing. It doesn't matter if the site is yours or not, because the process is not automatic. Every update request/notification is handled by an editor, just as a site suggestion is.

You don't have to be the site owner to use the update URL option.

Technically, though, what you're suggesting is not updating an out-of-date link but the changing of a still valid link (i.e. the link still works) to an older version of a document to a newer version of the same document on someone else's site, a site that is already listed in that category. Personally, I'd probably just delete the older link rather than updating to a deeplink of a site that's already listed there but that's just me.

Hmm. I see your point Motsa, but the base URL for the organisation (ILADS) is actually listed in a sub-category.

Hi,

Sorry I'm new to this.

When you say use the 'Update URL', do you mean the 'update listing' option. ?

I had already looked at this but it starts " If you have submitted an URL to the Open Directory Project, and it is listed in ..."

As I hadn't actually submitted the URL, I didn't think this was the mechanism I should be using.

I see. Yes that is rather misleading.

Sorry that I'm still talking about 'update URL'. That was the old name. It has been updated to 'update listing'.
