Hello,

PartsForTechs.com is located in this category:

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Pennsylvania/Localities/L/Lebanon/Business_and_Economy/

But since I'm also allowed to have it listed in a nonregional category, I submitted it here:

http://dmoz.org/Business/Electronics_and_Electrical/Repair_and_Service/

It is still awaiting review there.

But just recently, I've decided I'd rather have it listed in this category:

http://dmoz.org/Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Industrial_Supply/Generators

....Now it will show duplicate submissions - one to the electrical repair directory & one to the generator category.

To sum it up, please delete the submission to the Electrical Repair category. I just want it listed in the Generator category & Regional Pennsylvania category.

Sorry if I'm confusing.

Let me know if you have any questions.

No, no, NO!

Nobody EVER said that!

The rule is that sites in general (not necessarily yours) may be CONSIDERED FOR (not "may have") listings in both topical and regional listings. Businesses with intrinsically local interest or activity (beauty parlors, real estate agents, walk-in retail establishments) would be listed ONLY in a Regional category.

If your business is really nationwide or worldwide, and you think the second category is more appropriate, go ahead and submit it there. The editors will decide which category is most relevant, though.

Thanks for your quick reply "hutcheson" !

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought I had read somewhere that you could be listed in a Regional & NonRegional category.

The Generator Category would be better since most of our sales are out of state (national).

Did you remove my submission from this category so there won't be duplicate submissions?

Thanks for the assistance,
Shawn

If your sales are national, and the website reflects that, then a listing there is plausible.

No, I haven't removed either listing. (One extra submittal, arguably appropriate even, isn't going to be called spam.)

You may resubmit to the category you DON'T prefer, with a suggested description including a bracketed note to the editor, like "[please delete this, in favor of the submittal in xxxx]". They may not choose to comply: but again, asking once won't be considered spam.
