Hello,

If you have already suggested your site, there is nothing else you need to do. It is not normal to receive any feedback informing you if your site was listed or not.

There is more information about the process in our FAQs.

Thank you.

Yes,I agree with you that it is not normal.

But I really donnot know why DMOZ donot list our web.

Could those editors from DMOZ could send the report to those senders, and show the promble for listing?

Maybe the way will highly improve the DMOZ service quality.

What service do you think dmoz provides?

Dear Sir:

Thank you for your kind attention.

I find that lots of webmasters have suggested those link, and get none feedback from the DMOZ.Excepting only waiting and waiting, suggesting again and again, nothing else could be done.Like me ... ... But I find my web is not very bad , lots of keyword is the Top10-20 in google.I adopt the legal optimizing technology ,not rigged one.

In my opinion,I think that DMOZ should inform those webmasters the reason why it refuse to add the link? Only FAQ announce is not very clear.

So that ,webmaster will improve the method to fit the demand of the DMOZ,verything will be better.Dear sir, do you think so?

We have never said that we provide feedback, so this shouldn't be something that you would expect.

waiting,suggesting again and again
They must have missed the part of our site submission instructions that says you should only suggest your site once then...

I think that DMOZ should inform those webmasters the reason why it refuse to add the link
First just because a suggested site is not added to the directory in a certain time period, does not mean that it has been rejected. We get a large number of suggestions, and while we do aim to look at them all, we only have a finite number of editors to do the reviewing. In addition, public suggestions aren't the only source of new sites to add, and adding new sites isn't the only thing editors have to do to maintain the directory. Consequently it may take some time to get to your particular site.

Secondly, our site selection criteria are publicly available, so you should be able to judge for yourself whether your site is the sort of site we would want to list.

So that ,webmaster will improve the method to fit the demand of the DMOZ,verything will be better
We tried providing individual status reports, including comments on the listability of individual sites here at RZ some time ago. The result was that site owners started arguing and asking even more questions, and editors were spending time they could have spent editing dealing with them. In conclusion it didn't work out for us.

Unfortunately we do not provide site status checks on this forum any more. For details see the announcement at http://www.resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=39116

I've already provided links to our editing guidelines, so you can see for yourself if your site is listable. If it is, and you've already suggested it there's nothing more you can do. Thanks for the suggestion, and an editor will get around to reviewing it at some point. Unfortunately due to the fact that all our editors are volunteers, we can't say how soon that might be.

I am very sorry, but we cannot assist you.

Once you have suggested your link, there is no method to determine when it will be reviewed.
