I ca'n't find a submission for that URL in that category, and there is no record of it having been reviewed. Please feel free to resubmit the site, once, to the most appropriate category, and then return here in a month for another status update.

Sorry about that. I thought I should post a new one if I re-submit the site. Any news about this submission? I will be very thankful to hear as soon as possible.

the status of web site 5 months later

Dear DMOZ Moderators,

I was wondering what's the status of my website 5 months later from the day of submission. I understand that it's a pure volunteering and that I should not expect skyrocket actions from people who contribute their free time for the benefit of the entire project.

On other hand, however, I wonder if I should expect the submission of my website at all. I know, you probably get dozens of similar complaints daily and I do not want to complain or wain about my website. The only thing I am concerned about is whether the person responsible for this particular category is not biased against new submissions.

You see, I've noticed that 5 months ago there were 13 websites in this category and nothing has changed until this day. How could it possible be that with the online tools available from DMOZ for its editors a submission of one link (not neccessarily my own) would take so long? I am sure there are lots of other web sites from this category waiting to be submitted...

Anyways, I just wanted to kindly ask you to update me on the status of my submission and to let me know when approximately should I expect the submission (or at least a review) of my website? Thank you very much for your time responding to this inquiry.

Have a nice day!

Best regards,

Tonia Walls

I'm sorry, the period between checks is a minimum of 6 months. Someone will happily update you on or after 14th April if it has not been listed by then.

Site reviews can take 2 minutes to 2 years, sometimes longer, there is no way of predicting. That is the nature of DMOZ, we're not a listing service for webmasters so your suggestion is appreciated and will be considered alongside the hundreds of thousands of others across the Directory in due course.
