It has been received in several categories including that one, and duplicates have been deleted, wasting multiple editors' time.

I have asked to be an editor probably 3 times in the past year, and each time was rejected.

As a newbie, can you suggest a category that may have an opening for an editor?

Basically, any category that's smaller than about 50 sites and not a spam target, is open to new editors.

Do you have a category that you can demonstrate an ability to contribute to? (That demonstration do be done by giving the three sample URLs on the application form.)
