Your last submission (of August 29th) is still waiting for review in that category and probably has overwritten your older submission.

I hope your site will soon be reviewed. Keep checking the category page every now and then. If you don't find your site listed after six more months, feel free to come to this forum thread and ask for another status check.

Wow. That's rediculous. Thanks for the information. I'm afraid I've lost faith in DMOZ as an organization to be a reliable entity, though. The Internet is a quick-changing information highway. The largest "human-edited directory" isn't really cutting it.

The problem, as always, is ... spam.

People who generate doorway domains based on what they think are popular keywords, but then provide no unique content of their own -- or nothing but empty ad-platitudes intended to exhort people to buy, buy, buy from their advertisers.

You know the type. We know the type. We don't list them. But, and this is the kicker, we don't know which ones they are until we look.

I've taken a look at your site. Please feel free to continue to depend on the ODP for all your promotional needs.

Yes, I understand the problems such a directory would face. It's just the beaurocracy that frustrates everyone. Perhaps if there were more editors, or a more efficient, streamlined system. Even human-edited content should be much more "automatic," if you know what I mean. From what I read, it doesn't seem like DMOZ has a very complicated back end.
