If you want to ask for a progress report of your application to become an editor, then please post the following things:
1. The editor handle you used, such as 'totalxsive'
2. The category you applied for, such as Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Devon/Woolacombe/ (having a clickable link helps greatly)
The ID given on the 'please reply' email is simply there to confirm that it is really you that is replying - it doesn't play any other part in the application process.
Some applications take longer than others to review, but typically it should take no longer than 3 weeks. You will always recieve an email if you are accepted, but emails are not always sent if you are rejected. If you do recieve a rejection email, there is usually a reason given as to why you are rejected; you are encouraged to take note of this as it may be that should you reapply (perhaps to another category) you have an increased chance of being accepted.
