Dear Mod`s / Admin,
I tried to post using windows xp pro (I.E 6), but everytime i clicked submit, it said host error.

I then went on my other pc using windows NT and my posts get added without any problems.

I thought you should be aware just incase.
Regards
Nick

Tried on Win XP Pro, no problems.
Might be something related to your OS/IE settings.

>Disable your firewall then click reply.

First download a safe browser. The latest Netscape works so well I'm almost afraid to review sites with it, but if you're only viewing for yourself that wouldn't be a problem.

At the very moment I would not advice anyone to disable his or her firewall. Especially if he/she is running XP or W2K - Better reconfigure your frewall so it lets you get full access to this forum.

(You remember that worm thats around and all his newly born brothers? They knock on my door about 10-50 times an hour. I am very happy I had my door properly locked all the time.)

Second. I've just this moment finished cleaning up real a virus mess for a new customer.

I've posted to this forum from behind any number of firewalls, including software and hardware from different manufacturers.

Try resetting your security and privacy settings in tools -> Internet Options to defaults for the Internet zone. If that doesn't work, try resetting your advanced options to defaults.

At the height, yesterday, I was getting over 100 an hour. I still haven't seen less than 75 an hour since three days ago. :monacle:

Do not disable firewall, I just deleted 270 virus mails! I tried posting from 2 different XP machines both with firewall on. Posting here work just fine. It must be something else.

Blaster isn't a firewall issue, but the posting problem is, with Norton Firewall for one.

I know several people who have had endless problems with Norton Firewall.

I'd go with Zone Alarm as a more reliable product at this time.

I was referring to Win XP integrated firewall that OS itself offers. Those 2 machines use both that one. I don't have experience about Norton or other 3rd party software.

well im not sure why, but yes it seems as though norton internet security has something to do with it.!!

I disabled norton for post, and it went through fine, after enable it reverted back to not allowing.

It might be best for all norton users to put www.resource-zone.com into the list of accepted sites within the software.

Short term i can cope with this, but long turm might go onto zone alarm...much better.??

I had the same problem with win2000pro and norton.
I just added the URL of this forum in norton: options:internet security: advanced options;
activated coocies, referer, browser for this URL and it works :)
