Well, as much as I figure most moderators and editors are quite busy, I will cut to the chase...
I submitted my site to dmoz around last October, and then waited until late July to early August and submitted it once more. I submitted into a category that isn't overly populated with sites (a little over 10), and my site is perfectly relevant to the category. It's a company run site, and is very big and one of the best. Our competitors are getting published, but we aren't, and I was simply wondering why. Is it just a strenuous process to go through all of the sites and is taking a little while? Or perhaps there's something wrong with the site itself that dmoz does not like? Or maybe dmoz never actually got the site? In fact, is it actually possible for a site to not get to dmoz when it is submitted?
I was also wondering that, in the event that our site did get denied (or actually gets accepted!), would I receive notification? Perhaps an email that tells me it was denied, and maybe even why it was denied? And if it was accepted, then an email that says so so I know that the wait is over?
If it's simply a matter of waiting and patience, that is perfectly okay. I just want to make sure that I'm not waiting for something that shall never come.
Thank you!
