Hello,

Not sure where else to post this thread. Is dmoz down? I haven't been able to access it in the last 2 days, and can't find any other posts on it.

Thanks.

Yeah, sorry about no notices anywhere. Yes, dmoz.org is currently unavailable due to hardware issues.

Lost Changes

I just checked the ODP; the directory is accessible, but the editor login is not.

I note, however, that all the changes I made to my category and sub-categories in the last week or so have disappeared. Is this only temporary (e.g., ODP is using an old database until its issues are fully resolved) or has the ODP actually lost all all the edits for the past week?

Does anyone know?

If the edit server is down, the public servers can provide (can only provide) cached data.

Don't worry about it, until the edit server returns.

Is this problem why I am getting this message "The page cannot be found" when I try and add my site?

Yes. Just be patient. I'm sure a lot of people are working very hard to get this resolved.

Could this be why my site was added last week and now is gone? :(

It was added in
Computers: Programming: Languages: PHP: Scripts: Content Management: PostNuke: Themes

Thanks for any insight.

I haven't been able to log-in as an editor since last weekend. I just want to confirm it's not on my end. No other editors have been able to log-in the past few days either?

The editor server is currently down due to hardware problems. So nobody is able to log in at the moment.

Submit a Site Still Down

I have tried everyday for the past couple of weeks to submit a site to dmoz and keep getting the same messages others have complained about. Does anyone know what is going on? Seems like an exceptionally long time to take care of a server problem. I have also tried it from several different computers and ISPs

If you read the announcement stickied at the top of every forum here, you'll see that we've had server problems since late October. We don't currently have a reliable ETA on when the problems will be resolved but we'll update that announcement as soon as we have anything new to add.

When is the ODP Submitter going to work?

I need to submit several clients to the ODP, but it says it is temporarily out of service. Does anyone know when this will be working again? I have people waiting to be submitted!

Thanks, Sarah

The announcement that is available from the top of every forum here includes all information we have about the technical problems. Thanks for your patience. {moz}

Could be. The public pages are out-of-date.

I am happy to see the listings are back up, but it seems mine didn't make it :(
The strange part is if you look at this page
http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Programming/Languages/PHP/Scripts/Content_Management/PostNuke/
It shows 9 listings under Themes

But if you then look at the themes page
http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Programming/Languages/PHP/Scripts/Content_Management/PostNuke/Themes/

It only shows 8 listings. :(
Me thinks that was my link that has dissapeared..

The public page is out of date. The editor page shows 9 listings. This should (if that part of the process is working again) be auto-corrected within a week or two. So check again in a couple of weeks.
