Product marketed by two different companies

What happens when two different companies are selling or advertising the same product under two different brand names on two seperate websites, the two websites having a fairly simular appearance and structure? Would this be considered to be 'not unique content?'

It should certainly get an editor investigating whether or not they are unique companies, whether they are just affiliaties or whether neither, either or both sites are worth listings - in a worst case scenerio, it'll be the "latest submitted" site that's likely to be rejected as there's already a site offering the same contents listed in the ODP.

Have you got any specifics at all? Feel free to Private Message (PM) me if you don't want it to be public (i.e. your competitors etc)

They are both entirely seperate companies, I know this because I have been asked to design both websites. In terms of their customers and users of the websites, some may wish to deal with one company because of existing business contacts and trade, and geographical location, and some with the other company.
