Hello all,
I am the webmaster of http://www.freetropolis.com. It's a brand new site with no current website traffic. Before I "release" it to the public, I'd like to know what would be the proper way to give credit back to the ODP. I don't use ODP website directory data, I just used the categories. ODP's categories do a fantastic job of breaking down the world wide web into an easy to use hierarchy, and I've combined search results from various search engines into a directory search engine. Please advise me on the proper way to give credit. Thank you.

Ishtar, thank you for your suggestion. I applied the required attribution under a link to the proper DMOZ category. In doing this I hope to clear up any possible confusion my website visitors may or may not have. Do you recommend I do anything else, or is what I've already done sufficient? Thank you for your time.

It appears that you've satisfied the requirements of the licence (note: I'm not a lawyer.). Anything else you add would be purely voluntary. :)

Does the attribution have to be EXACTLY as shown on the editor page, ie does it have to use tables for layout, could I change it (so it displays exactly the same information, no change there) but use CSS for layout instead, as that is how I plan on designing the overall layout, unless the attribs are not needed on every page, but it seems they are, confused really...

The usual answer goes like this: As long as you don't change functionality, visibility and accessibility in different browsers/kind of people there should be no problem. People have to recognize the links and be able to follow them.
