Query: How Long on Average 2 B Listed?

I had forgotten all about my submission to dmoz. I submitted about a year ago, I think. On average, how long does the approval process take? If this length of time indicates that I was rejected, I shall submit again, although my site is strictly a free resource site for students of medical transcription. I do not THINK it would be rejected, but maybe I did something wrong when I submitted.

Thanks,
Judy

>If this length of time indicates that I was rejected, I shall submit again...

Sigh. That's an extremely good reason for our extreme reluctance to give out an average.

But think of it like this: Most submittals never get listed, so both the arithmetic average and mean time for ALL submittals is infinity.

And ... it always gets back to this: the submittal policy is a better, more effective, more efficient, more reliable approach than any possible submittal scheme based on irrelevant or incalculable trivia.

Thanks

I guess that my submission was not accepted. Based on what you said, I shall not resubmit.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my query.

Regards,
Judy

No, that means no such thing. The editors agreed we wouldn't be giving status reports -- even obfuscated or cryptic ones.

It does mean, do not resubmit, though: either the site hasn't been rejected, in which case there's no need to resubmit, or it has, in which case there's no point in resubmitting.

That's one reason we don't give status reports. They aren't of practical use.
