Question about marketing...

Can anyone recommend a good online website marketer? We have been scammed by one two many and now if we ask a marketer exactly what his/her plans are and what they are working on, they want to charge for that information which I don't think is fair. Please let me know if anyone knows of good and reliable marketers.
