Question about my listing.

My site www.colemanfurniture.com is listed under

http://www.dmoz.com/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Furniture/

but when I do a search on dmoz for "coleman furniture" it doesn't come up. What is the explanation for that. Also my listing is not showing up on many directories that get their results from dmoz.

Dmoz search function takes a little more time to catch up to the directory. It will be searchable soon.

As for Third party directories. Some never update the data at all - but sites like google have been known to take about 6 months before updating this info. Remember most 3rd party websites do this Manually(an actual human plugging in the data) So when they get around to it it will be done.

Our search is quite minimalist, and is not current with the directory.
As for the others, you'll have to ask them.

Search is not on the live directory, but on an index that is currently a couple of months out of date ( Search database last updated on: Tue Feb 22 10:25:13 EST 2005 on bottom of page ).

Other directories get there data from by downloading the RDF and create/update their directory, we have no control over how often they do that.
