In regards to requesting a regional listing

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Missouri/Metro_Areas/Kansas_City_Metro/

Does the business address need to be on the index page? Or can it be listed on the contact us page?

Also, our business is in a suburb of Kansas City, so I wanted to submit there but since the city name is actually different (though we're still metro), will that cause confusion?

Sorry for all the questions; just want to make sure I do it right.

Thank you. We're located in Independence, which boarders Kansas City and is considered Kanas City Metro.

I notice most of the listings there are not commercial but since a couple are, I guess it's okay to submit there, correct?

I had trouble with the topical category and don't want to even go down that road again. A regional listing would suffice.

Submit to Independence then, Regional listings for most businesses are at the level that encompasses their physical locations.

Absolutely - the neat thing about Regional is that is shows a more community-based approach to a directory, as opposed to theme-based. This way, anyone interested in "what's local" will be able to see your business.
