I have a question for the folks at DMOZ. As a web designer, I happen to have two clients whose business names, and domain names include the name of the city in which they operate their businesses. These are both legitimate businesses who have been operating for 15 to 20 years each. As an example, consider the following business names:
Tampa Bay Auto & Smog
Tampa Bay Transmission
If I were to submit those sites to this directory, is the mindset of editors such that these submissions would be automatically viewed as attempts to use keywords to drive traffic to a web site? If so, this is very fortunate as the two clients I have are again, very legitimate business owners, who not only have wonderful families to support but contribute to their repsective community charities. It would seem a shame that they get "penalized' for naming their businesses in relation to the city in which they live. If not, then bravo DMOZ!
