Question regarding www.gsauctions.com

Hi, I've got a website called "The GemStone III Auction Place" listed under the "Top: Games: Internet: Simutronics: Gemstone III: Auctions" section. I had three questions:

1. I edited my site description about 2 weeks ago, is there a general time span that it usually takes for edited site descriptions to be reviewed and updated?

2. I executed a search through the DMOZ home page for "Gemstone III Auction" and my site didn't appear. I also searched in my specific category for words in my site name and in my site description and that didn't pull up my site in the result list. Is there something that I'm missing or not doing properly to get my site to appear in a result list when words which are in my site name and description are searched upon? Or are there internal updates that still need to be made on the DMOZ side of things before my site can be indexed properly for searches?

3. This might not be able to be answered here, but my site was added to the above category 2 weeks ago. It still hasn't appeared on Google or any of the other search engines. Is there anything I can do to help speed up that process, or am I at the mercy of Google updates of DMOZ categories?

Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide me.

1) How long "Update URL" needs depends on several points. it is treated as a normal new URL by the system, but marked as "Update", so if an editor wants to process it faster [beacuse its less work] he is able to do it. _If_ an editor comes round and edits in the category :)

2) As noted several times in this forum, DMOZ search is - due to technical problems - still based on a database built in september.

3) Same as 2) - relying on the same database file (called RDF file) so Google cant download the data right now.

Staff is working on the problem first priority, but there are lots of other things to do since server capacity has to be increased at the moment.

So: No, we cant promise any date for a solution, sorry.

Thanks for the speedy response! Sorry I missed the answer to my second question in other forum responses, just joined up tonight. I work for a company that builds databases used for indexing and I know what a laborious effort it can be and usually is to execute a problem free rebuild. Again thanks for the response and I sincerely appreciate all the hard work you guys do.
