re-submitting a site to DMOZ if improved?

I actually came here through some apparently outdated FAQ that said I could find out about my submission status by posting here.

I was browsing a few other threads and saw that this was no longer the case. I also saw another post which has me bothered - I believe it was an editor who posted it.

If you have suggested the site before there is no need to suggest it ever again. It is either still waiting review, is listed or is rejected. In all 3 cases there is no need for a new suggestion.
I submitted my site to DMOZ several weeks ago and am assuming that it has been rejected, which didn't bother me since we are working on many new features which will increase our traffic by a considerable margin.

So I figured "improve the site then resubmit it" but according to that particular editor, this isn't the case? If I get rejected once, that's it? Even if I have highly improved the quality of my site?

Thanks for your time.

If you have made significant changes to the content of your site - you are welcome to make an additional suggestion once your site is complete. I would recommend that you make note of the added content in the description, in case the previously suggested site was rejected for lack of content.

Three weeks is not even worth thinking about, especially when it is not uncommon for site to site for years before being viewed by an editor -- and I'd like you to ponder this:

If you submitted the site three weeks ago, and have done "significant" improvements since then -- was it anywhere near complete when you submitted it, and in another three weeks, will there be more "significant" improvements?

Usually when people ask about the impact of significant improvements it is becuase a year or three has passed since the original suggestion and the site has undergone a major renovation. That is really the scenario we are addressing when we talk about resubmitting after a major site overhaul.

Yes it was complete when I submitted, it's been online since April 2005.

I'll just wait and check back in a few months then I guess!

Professional Site Submitted

Just new to this forum and am looking for some useful feedback. I submitted my web site <URL Removed> quite sometime ago and truly felt that it would be submitted. However, I don't know if it has been or if it has been rejected. Is there someway that I can find out how my site faired as far as being accepted or rejected. New at this business an entire year as of this month, I feel my business could truly evolve with more exposure.

Can anyone offer any assistance or feedback? Thanks for your attention.

There may be people who are willing to offer feedback (fewer and fewer there are getting to be, as more and more of us realize that we can't give any useful information), but in any case, by the terms of this forum you may not troll for them here.
