Reason for rejection?

Hi,

I'm currently an editor of four years standing with nearly 1000 edits. I look after serveral cats with 500+ sites. I applied to edit the main cat which is one level up from me, which has 5000+ sites, which has two editors, neither of which has edited anything for over a month.

I was rejected with no explanation. In fact, I haven't officially been told yet, I just see it in my request history. I don't have any spam filters in place. I asked the meta who refused me why i was rejected but haven't had a reply.

1. Am I entitled to know why I was rejected?
2. Does a record exist of this?
3. If the meta doesn't respond, should I just re-apply?

Any advice welcome :)

BTW, I haven't given my dmoz name (and I won't) as I don't want to create a ruckus about this, just want to find out what the problem is so I can act on it :)

This forum is to discuss new editor questions, not existing editor issues. You should probably post this question in the internal editor forums.

Feedback was down for a few days. I'm sure messages were lost both ways. Try your message one more time.

The problem was actually a bad e-mail address, not that feedback was down. Having contacted me twice by feedback before figuring that out, I'm only just now able to explain things to the editor.
