For instance if you have one url www.thisisanurl.com but the website is on www.thisanotherurl.com
there are options to redirect visitors who enter www.thisisanurl.com into their browser to www.thisisanotherurl.com
DMOZ will not list the first url but the real url of the website

redirection can also be used within one website
like redirect hello.website.com to www.website.com/hello

Editors usually ignore internal (within one Internet domain) redirections. We prefer to list the base url, as in the long term the link is more stable.
