Regional versus Topical Classification?

Gentlemen, Ladies:

I am a little confused / concerned. Our site is the public page for our CAD CAM consulting group. We are based in Sydney but have customers all over the world. For instance, we are currently working on a Chinese project. To further confuse the issue, we also support and release a small quantity of open-source work most noteably PythonD.

The site is quite legitamate. It is listed on the Plastic Network, Engineering.com and all the major industry portals. In fact, dmoz is probably the only relevant directory that *hasn't* listed it yet. This is a bit sad, but not my point.

I seem to get confusing feedback as to where this site should be submitted. In my opinion the site is collectively and finally an international, topical site. What is dmoz view? What makes a site purely regional as opposed to topical?

Thank you very much for the oppertunity to submit questions regarding the proper use of dmoz directory.

Your site may very well be eligible for *both* a topical listing - read the guidelines and select the best category - plus a listing in Regional.

When/if you do suggest the site to regional, base the suggestion upon your physical location as opposed to where you market.
