I have submitted the following URL quite some weeks ago now and I would like to know of its progress status? The URL is <URL removed> - can a local editor please advise? John McGee

As the sticky thread at the top of this forum says, we don't provide status checks here.

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

Thanks for your reply, Jim. If this is not the correct site for trying to track the progress of a submitted URL to DMOZ can you advise me if there is a better one. There does not seem to be any way of tracking it on the Open Zone DMOZ registration website. Surely you would not be asking a client to wait years to find out if a submitted URL is successful? Any help you can provide will be appreciated and I have always found you so in the past? John McGee

No, there isn't. If you havbe suggested an URL (doesn't matter if it it your URL or any other you might want to suggest), that is all you need to do. We do not reject listable sites, so if the suggested site is listable, it will be listed eventually. If it is not listable, I am sure you would not have suggested it in the first place. So, since there is no need to wait for anything, we do not provide any way to track suggestions.

We provide a free service to our surfers and downstream data users but we're building and maintaining a directory here, not providing a service to website owners. There's a difference in point of view.

You aren't a client, you're a supplier :).
