About 4 years ago some editor remove our site from ODP index because he said we are using ODP index without designation. Since then we lost our old database and started new from the scratch.

My question is, will you reinstate our site and what need to be done?

Thank you for your time

Suggest the site again to the single most appropriate category.

In the description field add a note to the editor along the lines of 'previously used ODP data without attribution, all ODP data has now been removed from site'.
Please note we will check this claim.

The site still needs to meet our listing guidelines for inclusion though, so it is not an automatic re-listing even if you have removed the ODP data.

The subject of my post is: “he said we are using ODP index without designation” and less so about he removed us and that this happened 4 years ago.

At that time he could find only a few links that he told us “resembled very much links in ODP index” and in his PM he told us if we remove them, he would reinstate our site.

The old DB with 500,000 links is gone and now we have only 30,000 links in our new DB, which means we met his condition. You are suggesting, starring all over and go over the process we already went 6 years ago but we want ODP Editor who removed our site to fulfill his promise and re-enter our site back into ODP index

cheers

We won't discuss individual websites here and posting here doesn't expedite listing suggestions.

I'm not sure where the 6 years came from. If it was unlistable 4 years ago, it was quite rightly removed. The clock doesn't start ticking until you fixed the site and re-suggested it. Claimed promises by an unknown editor - who has probably left us anyway - don't carry much weight 4 years after the event I'm afraid.

Please do as gimmster suggested. There's no other way to achieve progress.

Feel free to contact that editor, then. Presumably you still have his contact details. Beyond that, the only way for you to have your new directory reviewed is to suggest it to the category where you believe it should be listed.
