Removing a Link From Search Engines

How can I remove a link from search engines (specifically, AOL and Google).

I have no idea.
This forum is only for matters concerning DMOZ.

I was told by AOL to contact dmoz, and somehow ended up here.

Search engines have robots that harvest URLs wherever they find them. Removing your website's listing from ODP won't affect the search engines at all.

Search engines sometimes use our description of a website instead of whatever the web designer put in his description metatag. If that's the problem, you can control their behaviour by using the NOODP metatag. Google it .
