Renamed website.

I am new to this. I purchased www.doxieland.com last year.
I found out that under the ODP listing the site was named Marj Teague's Doxieland ( previous owner). I submitted the site under Doxieland not knowing it was already listed as Marj Teague's Doxieland. Now neither of the sites are listed.
I apologize for the error and am wondering how to correct.
I have resubmitted the doxieland website as www.doxieland.com After talking with some other people they recommended writing an explanation.

Yes the question is do I need to take any further actions.
I resubmitted after marj teagues doxieland was removed and it has been a couple of months. I am trying to ensure that somehow i am not listed because of multiple applications for the same site.

It sounds like you have done all you need to do. The submission will be waiting in whatever category you submitted it to.

In my first post I assumed I had been removed for possible over submission. Is there a way to find out why I was removed? I would like to know if the previous owner requested removal or if it was due to some other cause.

I have done a submission. I am trying to find out why I was originally removed. The previous owner has removed www.doxieland.com from other directories without my permission. I am trying to find out if it was removed by owner request (previous owner)or if it was due to other reasons.

If my reading between the lines of your posts and the editor notes is correct, at the prior owner's request it was replaced by another URL in another category, and the current site is not eligible for a listing in Recreation/Pets/Dogs/Breeds/Hound_Group/Dachshund/Breeders (which is for recreational, not commercial, breeders.) You might consider also submitting to the commercial equivalent, http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Pets/Dogs/Breeds/Hound_Group/Dachshund/Breeders/ .

The site's audit trail does NOT (in my opinion) show signs of "aggressive", let alone "abusive" submittals. (If you submitted multiple times, they were compressed into one submittal before they managed to irritate the editors.) And ... while abusive submittal practices are an allowed reason for us to deliberately reject a site, we try to take other steps before rejecting a site of an apparently bona fide businesses. This is a step that we much more often take after reviewing a site (and finding no unique content) multiple times -- we feel no obligation to review it ever again.

By the way, when someone buys a domain name, they get all its goodwill, and all its badwill, and the latter is often (but not in your case) much greater than the former.

But whether it had been goodwill or badwill, directories such as the ODP and search engines like Google try to put that all aside when we find out about a new owner. An old domain name will not get listed more quickly, and may not even retain its old listings -- and this is in fact what you're seeing.
