I was going to report something under Society: Religion and Spirituality: Esoteric and Occult: Chats and Forums and on the report page, this comes up -->

Please do not use this system to:

* Report Yahoo! abuse; use their system instead.
* Inquire about submissions
* Report "hacking" attempts.

There is a site under chats & forums that seems to be a spring board for selling furniture, rather then something Esoteric_and_Occult.

This is not a yahoo issue, it's a dmoz issue...correct? I've no clue if it' breaks the rules of YAHOO (I can't stand their groups system set up, and find it mind boggling why there are so many submissions for them).

What I believe that announcement is trying to tell you is not to report someone abusing your yahoo group or that a yahoo group is abusing you (email) or that a yahoo group does not meet yahoo's criteria.

If you have a dmoz issue, a problem with the listing then it is ok to report it. The report should be about the listing in dmoz (a dmoz issue) and not a yahoo one (report to yahoo). Hope this helps.

Third question here, and it seems my assumption on all three was correct...I am just wanting to be sure. Thank you for your reply TheHelper...it was a great help ;)

Expect a reported site (or 30) soon :p

Rather than using the "report abuse/spam" link - it would be easier to use the "update listing" feature. The issue would then be visible to all editors who can edit in that area.

Another option, if you have a significantly large number of problem listings to report, is the sticky at the top of this forum. :) Multiple URLs can be reported in a thread, if you use that option.

I'll likely try that thread, though I do not think I'll d the update listing feature, at least not for this ;)
